Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit Nene (née Dixit; born 15 May 1967) is an Indian actress known for her work primarily in Hindi films. With over 70 films to her credit, she is considered one of the leading actresses in Indian cinema. Dixit has been praised by critics for her beauty, dancing skills, and versatile performances, often challenging the male-dominated industry. She was among the highest-paid celebrities in India during the 1990s and early 2000s. Dixit has received numerous accolades, including six Filmfare Awards from 17 nominations. In 2008, she was honored with the Padma Shri, one of India's highest civilian awards. Born and raised in Mumbai, Dixit made her acting debut in 1984 and rose to prominence with the film Tezaab (1988).
