Mae Pearl Martin is a Canadian comedian, actor, and screenwriter. Born on 2 May 1987 in Toronto, Martin is known for their work on the Netflix comedy series Feel Good, which they wrote and starred in. They received a nomination for the BAFTA TV Award for Best Female Comedy Performance for their role in Feel Good. Martin's comedy journey began at the age of 11 when they saw their first comedy show and started booking gigs with The Young and the Useless comedy troupe at 13. They dropped out of school at 15 to pursue comedy full time. With a supportive and open-minded upbringing, Martin's family home was filled with recordings of British and American comedy classics.
