Mae Whitman

Mae Margaret Whitman (born June 9, 1988) is an American actor. She began her acting career as a child, appearing in commercials and making her film debut in 'When a Man Loves a Woman' (1994). Whitman gained recognition for her supporting roles in films such as 'One Fine Day' (1996), 'Independence Day' (1996), and 'Hope Floats' (1998). She also appeared on TV shows like 'Chicago Hope' (1996–1999) and 'JAG' (1998–2001). Whitman became more widely known for her recurring role on the sitcom 'Arrested Development' (2004–2006, 2013), as well as her roles on the drama series 'Parenthood' (2010–2015) and the crime comedy 'Good Girls' (2018–2021). She has also appeared in notable films such as 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' (2010), 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' (2012), and 'The DUFF' (2015).
