Maggie Dence

Margaret Helen Dence, born on February 1, 1942, is an Australian actress known for her versatile performances on stage and screen. With a career spanning over seven decades, Dence has showcased her talent in both comedy and drama roles. She gained early recognition for her roles in the satirical TV comedy The Mavis Bramston Show, where she also served as the series' mascot. Dence also appeared in the comedy Kingswood Country alongside Ross Higgins and Judi Farr. In her dramatic roles, she is notable for her performances in TV series such as The Sullivans as Rose Sullivan, Prisoner as Bev Baker, and Neighbours as school headmistress Dorothy Burke.
