Maggie Wheeler Biography
Maggie Wheeler, born Margaret Emily Jakobson, is an American actress known for her roles in popular television sitcoms. She gained widespread recognition for portraying Janice on the hit show Friends (1994-2004) and Anita on Ellen (1994-1996). Wheeler grew up in a secular Jewish household and attended The Calhoun School in New York City. In the 1980s, she ventured into voice acting, lending her voice to animated series such as SilverHawks and The Comic Strip. Wheeler also appeared in the 1989 film New Year's Day alongside David Duchovny. Despite rumors, she has denied auditioning for the role of Monica Geller in Friends.
