Mahdi Gilbert Biography
Mahdi Gilbert (born 1989) is a Canadian professional sleight of hand card magician. Despite being born without hands and feet, Gilbert has developed his own unique techniques for his illusions. He gained recognition after appearing on the third season of Penn & Teller: Fool Us, where he performed a version of the card trick Oil and Water that successfully fooled Penn Jillette and Teller. This victory earned him a trip to Las Vegas to appear as the opening act for the duo. Gilbert has also appeared in the documentary Our Magic by R. Paul Wilson and contributed to the research of the book The Greatest German Living by Ricky Jay. In 2018, he made an appearance on the BBC series The One Show.
