Malcolm Gets is an American actor, dancer, singer, and composer. He was born on December 28, 1963, in Waukegan, Illinois. Gets is best known for his role as Richard in the American television sitcom Caroline in the City. He has also been recognized for his talents as a classically trained pianist, vocal director, and choreographer. In addition to his work in television, Gets has made appearances in various movies and TV shows. He was nominated for a Tony Award in 2003 for his role in the musical Amour and was awarded the Obie Award in 1995. Gets released his first solo album in 2009. He has a background in performing arts, starting his studies in piano and singing at a young age.
