Malik Yoba, born on September 17, 1967, is an American actor known for his roles on various TV shows and films. He gained fame for portraying NYPD Detective J. C. Williams on the Fox police drama New York Undercover and Yul Brenner in the movie Cool Runnings. Yoba has appeared in other notable TV series such as Alphas, Revolution, Empire, and Designated Survivor. He also joined the cast of the Netflix drama Seven Seconds and appeared in Jordan Peele's TBS comedy The Last OG. Yoba was born in the Bronx, New York and is the fourth of six children. He started his acting career in 1994 when he landed his role on New York Undercover.
