Mammootty

Mammootty, born Muhammad Kutty Panaparambil Ismail on September 7, 1951, is a renowned Indian actor and film producer. With a career spanning over five decades, he has predominantly worked in Malayalam and Tamil language films, while also appearing in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and English-language productions. Mammootty has acted in more than 400 films and has received numerous accolades, including three National Film Awards, seven Kerala State Film Awards, and thirteen Filmfare Awards South. In recognition of his contributions to the film industry, he was honored with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1998. Mammootty made his acting debut in the 1971 Malayalam film 'Anubhavangal Paalichakal' and gained recognition with his breakthrough performance in 1981. He continues to be a prominent figure in the industry and has been honored with the prestigious Kerala Prabha Award in 2022.
