Mandip Gill

Mandip Kaur Gill is an English actress and narrator, best known for her role as Yasmin Khan in the television series Doctor Who. Born on January 5, 1988, in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Gill is of Indian Punjabi descent and is a Sikh. She began her acting career in 2012 with her role as Phoebe McQueen in the soap opera Hollyoaks. After leaving the show in 2015, she made guest appearances in various television series including Cuckoo, Doctors, The Good Karma Hospital, and Casualty. In 2017, Gill was cast as Yasmin Khan in Doctor Who and has appeared in every episode of Series 11, 12, and 13. She holds a BA (Hons) in Acting from the University of Central Lancashire.
