Mandel Bruce Patinkin, born on November 30, 1952, is an American actor and singer known for his work in musical theatre, television, and film. He has received three Tony Award nominations and won for his leading role in Evita (1980), as well as seven Drama Desk Award nominations. Patinkin has been recognized for his television work, receiving seven Primetime Emmy Award nominations and winning one. He has also received a Screen Actors Guild Award and three Golden Globe Award nominations. Notable theatrical roles include Trelawny of the 'Wells' (1975), Sunday in the Park with George (1984), and The Secret Garden (1991).
