Manish Dayal, born Manish Patel on June 17, 1983, is an American actor. He is known for his roles as Raj Kher in the CW series '90210' and for his appearances in the films 'The Hundred Foot Journey' (2014) and 'Viceroy's House' (2017). From 2018 to 2023, he was a main cast member of the Fox medical drama series 'The Resident'. Dayal was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina to Indian Gujarati parents Hema and Sudhir Patel. He uses his grandfather's first name, Dayal, as his stage surname. Dayal attended Marshall Elementary School and later Heathwood Hall in Columbia, South Carolina before obtaining a degree in International Business from George Washington University. He moved to New York in 2005 to pursue his acting career.
