Manny Jacinto

Manny Jacinto is a Canadian actor known for his breakout role as Jason Mendoza on the NBC sitcom The Good Place (2016–2020). Born in Manila, Philippines, on August 19, 1987, Jacinto is of Filipino-Chinese descent. His family immigrated to Canada in 1990, and he was raised in Richmond, British Columbia. Jacinto attended an all-boys Catholic high school, Vancouver College, where he played baseball and basketball. He later earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of British Columbia. While interning, Jacinto discovered his passion for acting and decided to pursue it as a career. Frustrated by the lack of opportunities for Asian actors, he moved to Los Angeles. In addition to The Good Place, Jacinto has also appeared in films such as Bad Times at the El Royale (2018) and Top Gun: Maverick (2022).
