Maren Kroymann

Maren Kroymann (born July 19, 1949) is a German actress, comedian, and singer. She studied English, Roman studies, and American studies at the University of Tübingen before moving to Berlin. Kroymann gained recognition as the first woman in German public television with her own satirical show, 'Nachtschwester Kroymann' (1993–1997). Apart from her television work, she has also appeared in numerous German films. Kroymann has received several accolades, including the 2019 Rose d'Or Lifetime Achievement Award, the 2019 Grimme Preis for her comedy show 'Kroymann,' the 2020 Carl-Zuckmayer-Medaille, and the 2020 Bayerischer Kabarettpreis (Honorary Award). In 2021, she was honored with the Deutscher Comedypreis for her lifetime achievements. Kroymann is openly gay and has emphasized her ability to portray any role regardless of her sexual orientation.
