Margarita Cordova

Margarita Cordova is a Mexican dancer and actress, born on February 26, 1939 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. In 1958, Cordova and her husband Clark Allen opened for a show starring Jean Arnold at the Cabaret Concert Theatre in Los Angeles. They were described as Spanish dance exponents who took the time to explain their performances to the audience. In 1960, they had a 30-minute show in New York at Julius Monk's Downstairs at the Upstairs, although they were not particularly outstanding. Cordova and Allen later opened and operated El Cid, a flamenco nightclub on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. Cordova's career focused on traditional Spanish and flamenco dance.
