Margarita Levieva

Margarita Levieva is an American actress born on February 9, 1980, in Leningrad, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union (now Saint Petersburg, Russia). She comes from a Russian-Jewish family and both of her grandmothers survived the siege of Leningrad during World War II. Levieva started practicing rhythmic gymnastics at the age of three. At the age of 11, she emigrated to the United States with her mother and twin brother, settling in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Instead of pursuing dance, she attended public high school in Secaucus, New Jersey. Levieva graduated early from New York University with a double major in economics and psychology, as well as minors in philosophy, sociology, and Russian history. She completed the Meisner Acting Program at the William Esper Studio in New York.
