Maria Bakalova

Maria Valcheva Bakalova is a Bulgarian actress known for her versatile performances in both dramatic and comedic roles. Born on June 4, 1996, in Burgas, Bakalova began her acting career in Bulgarian cinema while studying at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia. She gained international recognition for her breakthrough role as Tutar Sagdiyev in the mockumentary film Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (2020), which earned her critical acclaim and a nomination for an Academy Award.
