Marian Mercer

Marian Ethel Mercer (November 26, 1935 – April 27, 2011) was an American actress and singer known for her work in both theater and television. Born in Akron, Ohio, Mercer began her career in summer stock after graduating from the University of Michigan. She made her Broadway debut in the musical 'Greenwillow' in 1960 and gained critical acclaim for her performance in 'New Faces of 1962'. Mercer received numerous awards, including the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, for her role in 'Promises, Promises' in 1968. On television, she appeared in shows such as 'The Dom DeLuise Show', 'The Wacky World of Jonathan Winters', 'The Sandy Duncan Show', and 'A Touch of Grace'.
