Marian Seldes Biography
Marian Seldes (1928-2014) was an American actress known for her work in theater and film. She received five Tony Award nominations throughout her career and won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her performance in 'A Delicate Balance' in 1967. Some of her other notable Broadway credits include 'Equus' and 'Deuce.' Seldes was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 1995 and received the Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2010. Born in Manhattan, she came from a family with a rich artistic background and grew up in a creative environment.
