Mario Batali

Mario Francesco Batali (born September 19, 1960) is an American chef, writer, and former restaurateur. He co-owned restaurants in various locations including New York City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Singapore. Batali gained popularity through his appearances on the Food Network, particularly on shows like Molto Mario and Iron Chef America, where he was featured as one of the 'Iron Chefs'. In 2017, Batali faced multiple accusations of sexual misconduct, resulting in him selling all his restaurant holdings in March 2019. Born in Seattle to parents of Italian and French-Canadian ancestry, Batali attended Rutgers University while working as a cook at Stuff Yer Face. He is married to Susi Cahn and they have two sons.
