Mario Siletti

Mario Giovanni Siletti (22 July 1903 – 19 April 1964) was an Italian actor known for his prolific career in film and television. Born in Turin, Siletti appeared in over 160 films between 1932 and 1964. He made his transition to American cinema in the mid-1940s and continued to work on both sides of the Atlantic. One of his notable roles was playing Charlie Carlotti on the popular American TV series, Hazel, from 1962 to 1964. Tragically, Siletti's life was cut short in April 1964 when he was killed in a car accident in Los Angeles caused by a drunk driver. His pregnant wife also suffered critical injuries in the crash.
