Marisa Abela Biography
Marisa Abela is an English actress known for her roles in the BBC Two and HBO series Industry (2020–) and the Sky One series COBRA (2020). Born on 7 December 1996 in Brighton, she grew up in Rottingdean and attended Roedean School. Abela comes from a diverse heritage, with her father being of Maltese-Libyan and English descent, and her mother having Polish Jewish and Russian Jewish ancestry. Initially intending to study History and Law at UCL, she changed her mind and pursued acting instead, graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 2019. Abela's career began with a role in the thriller Man in a Box (2008), and she has since been recognized as a 2023 Screen International Star of Tomorrow.
