Marisa Coughlan (born March 17, 1974) is an American actress and writer. She gained mainstream attention for her role in Kevin Williamson's Teaching Mrs. Tingle (1999), in which she co-starred alongside Katie Holmes and Helen Mirren. Coughlan's other notable film appearances include Officer Ursula Hanson in Super Troopers (2001) and Betty in Freddy Got Fingered (2001). She also had a recurring role as Melissa Hughes on the series Boston Legal. Coughlan was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French. She is known for her versatile acting skills and has contributed to the entertainment industry through her performances in various movies and TV shows.
