Marisa Tomei

Marisa Tomei (born December 4, 1964) is an American actress. She first gained attention for her roles in the soap opera As the World Turns (1983–1985) and the sitcom A Different World (1987). However, it was her comedic performance in My Cousin Vinny (1992) that catapulted her to fame and earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has since received further nominations for her work in In the Bedroom (2001) and The Wrestler (2008). Tomei has appeared in numerous notable films such as Chaplin (1992), The Paper (1994), The Big Short (2015), and The King of Staten Island (2020). She is also known for her portrayal of May Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films from Captain America: Civil War (2016) to Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
