Mark Charnock

Mark Charnock (born 28 August 1968) is an English actor best known for his long-running role as Marlon Dingle in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, a character he has portrayed since 1996. Charnock attended Canon Slade School, Hull University, and the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. He made his television debut in 1992 and has appeared in various shows such as 2point4 Children, Watching, Cadfael, and Coronation Street. Alongside his Emmerdale co-star Dominic Brunt, Charnock co-produces the annual Zombie Film Festival in Leeds. Charnock has received recognition for his performance in Emmerdale, winning the Best Male Dramatic Performance award in 2004 and 2022.
