    Mark Gil (born Raphael John Eigenmann; September 25, 1961 – September 1, 2014) was a Filipino actor known for his roles as the main villain in Philippine action films from the late '80s to the early 2000s. He gained critical acclaim for his portrayal of the protagonist in the 1982 film Batch '81 and for his role in the drama-suspense thriller The Elsa Castillo Story: The Chop-Chop Lady. Gil also appeared in various drama series, including the ABS-CBN drama The Legal Wife. Born to actors Eddie Mesa and Rosemarie Gil, Gil was the middle child and had siblings Michael de Mesa and Cherie Gil. He was the father of singer/actor Gabby Eigenmann and Katherine Eigenmann.
