Mark Richard Hamill (born September 25, 1951) is an American actor, voice artist, and writer. He gained worldwide fame for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, starting with the original 1977 film. Hamill has won three Saturn Awards for his performances in The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Return of the Jedi (1983), and The Last Jedi (2017).
