Mark LaMura (October 18, 1948 – September 11, 2017) was an American actor known for his work in television and theater. Born in Perth Amboy Hospital, New Jersey, he was raised in Matawan and Marlboro. LaMura graduated from Mater Dei High School and pursued his education at Kent State University, St. Joseph's College, and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Mark Dalton on the soap opera All My Children, a role he played for 11 years. LaMura's talent extended beyond soap operas, as he made guest appearances on popular shows like Star Trek: The Next Generation, 30 Rock, Damages, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and The Sopranos. He also earned acclaim for his performances in theatrical productions, including Shakespeare plays and The Rise Of Dorothy Hale. In 1988, LaMura received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for his outstanding performance on All My Children.
