Mark Linn-Baker Biography
Mark Linn-Baker is an American actor and director. He was born on June 17, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri. Linn-Baker is best known for his roles as Benjy Stone in the film My Favorite Year and Larry Appleton in the TV sitcom Perfect Strangers. He changed his surname to Linn-Baker by hyphenating his middle name, Linn, with his surname, Baker. Linn-Baker's parents, Joan and William Nelson Baker, were actively involved in theater and civil rights activism. He graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1972 and attended Yale University, where he received a MFA in Drama in 1979. Linn-Baker began his career on stage and later developed and performed in the comedy show The Laundry Hour.
