Mark Marcel Monero is a British actor and musician. He is best known for his role as Steve Elliot in the BBC soap opera EastEnders (1991–96). Born on May 12, 1968, in Newham, London, England, Monero began his acting career at Anna Scher's theatre school in the late 1970s. He appeared in various television and theatre roles, including Babylon, Wilt, Prayer for the Dying, Sid and Nancy. Monero also had roles in TV serials such as Play for Today and Bless Me Father, as well as popular detective series Lovejoy. With Afro-Caribbean heritage, Monero has made a significant contribution to the entertainment industry.
