Mark Moses is an American actor best known for his roles as Paul Young in the ABC comedy-drama Desperate Housewives (2004–2011) and as Herman 'Duck' Phillips in the AMC period drama Mad Men (2007–2014). Born in New York City, Moses attended Evanston Township High School in Illinois, where he played quarterback for the varsity football team. He later studied English at Ithaca College before dropping out to travel. Moses then enrolled at New York University, graduating with a degree in theater. He began his acting career in 1983 with a role in the ABC soap opera One Life to Live and has since appeared in various TV shows and films, including Platoon (1986) directed by Oliver Stone.
