Mark Owen is an English singer and songwriter, born on January 27, 1972. He gained prominence as a member of the popular pop group and band Take That. During his time with the group, they achieved immense success, selling 14 million albums and 11.4 million singles in the UK. Alongside his work with Take That, Owen has also pursued a solo career. He has released five studio albums, including 'Green Man' (1996), 'In Your Own Time' (2003), 'How the Mighty Fall' (2005), 'The Art of Doing Nothing' (2013), and his most recent release, 'Land of Dreams' (2022). Owen was raised in a small council house in Oldham, where he lived with his parents, brother, and sister. He attended Holy Rosary Primary and St Augustine's Catholic Schools. Before his music career, Owen briefly played football for Chadderton F.C., and had trials at Manchester United and Rochdale.
