Mark Clifford Thomas is an English comedian and political activist. He was born on April 11, 1963, in South London. Thomas gained popularity through his appearances on the BBC Radio 1 comedy show, The Mary Whitehouse Experience, in the late 1980s. He is best known for his show, The Mark Thomas Comedy Product, which aired on Channel 4. Thomas describes himself as a 'libertarian anarchist.' He was educated at Macaulay Church of England Primary School and went on to attend the independent Christ's Hospital School on a scholarship. Thomas has been influenced by his drama teacher, Duncan Noel-Paton, and by Bertolt Brecht's play, The Caucasian Chalk Circle.
