Mark Wingett

Mark Christopher Wingett, born on January 1, 1961, is an English actor known for his roles in various television shows. He gained popularity for his portrayal of PC/DC Jim Carver in the long-running TV series The Bill. Wingett also appeared in popular soap operas such as EastEnders, Hollyoaks, and Heartbeat, playing characters like Mike Swann, Frank Symons, and Terry Molloy, respectively. Born in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, Wingett's father served in the Royal Navy, leading to frequent relocations. He developed a passion for acting from a young age and joined the National Youth Theatre. Wingett made his film debut in 1979 with Quadrophenia.
