Markuann Smith is an American actor, producer, and director. Born on November 19, 1977 in New York City, he was raised in Harlem. He graduated from Morgan State University with a minor in theater. Markuann is best known as the Executive Producer of the Epix series drama Godfather of Harlem. He began his career in production at Black Entertainment Television (BET) and later worked as the Presenter of VH1's Let's Talk About Pep. Markuann has appeared in various TV shows and films including The Dave Chappelle Show, Juice, Poetic Justice, Code Blue, A Good Day to Die, and plays the character Junie Byrd in Godfather Of Harlem.
