Marlene Warfield Biography
Marlene Warfield is an American actress, known for her work in films and American television. Born in Queens, New York, she gained recognition for portraying the underground revolutionary Laureen Hobbs in the 1976 film Network. Warfield also played the character Victoria Butterfield on the television sitcom Maude from 1977 to 1978. In addition to her screen appearances, she starred in the play Janie Jones at the New Theatre in London, which opened on July 15, 1968. Warfield's notable achievements include winning the Clarence Derwent Award in 1969 for Outstanding Broadway Debut Performance and receiving a Theatre World Award for her role as Clara in The Great White Hope, which she reprised in the 1970 film adaptation.
