Martin Lawrence Biography
Martin Fitzgerald Lawrence (born April 16, 1965) is an American actor and comedian. He gained fame in the 1990s and established a successful Hollywood career as a leading actor. Lawrence started his career playing Maurice Warfield in What's Happening Now!! (1987–1988) and went on to star in the Fox television sitcom Martin (1992-1997). He has appeared in several successful films, including the Bad Boys franchise, House Party (1990), Boomerang (1992), A Thin Line Between Love and Hate (1996), Nothing to Lose (1997), Life, Blue Streak (1999), Big Momma's House (2000), Black Knight (2001), Big Momma's House 2 (2006), Open Season (2006), Wild Hogs (2007), and Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son (2011). Born in Frankfurt, West Germany, Lawrence is the fourth of six children. His first and middle names were inspired by Martin Luther King Jr. and John F. Kennedy, respectively.
