    Martin Robert Turner (born 1 October 1947) is an English musician known for his time as the bass guitarist, lead vocalist, and founding member of the rock band, Wishbone Ash. He was with the band from its inception in 1969 until 1980, during which he played a key role as a songwriter and creative force. Turner's melodic basslines, often used as a third lead guitar, were integral to the Wishbone Ash sound in the 1970s. After parting ways with the band in 1980, Turner pursued a career in studio management. He made significant contributions to Wishbone Ash's classic album Argus, providing vocals and the majority of the album's lyrics.
