Marton Csokas is a New Zealand actor known for his work in film, stage, and television. Born on June 30, 1966, he graduated from the Toi Whakaari drama school. Csokas has appeared in numerous Australian, Hollywood, and New Zealand productions, often portraying villainous characters. He gained recognition for his roles as Celeborn in the Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001–2003), Yorgi in XXX (2002), and Guy de Lusignan in Kingdom of Heaven (2005). Csokas has also appeared in Æon Flux (2005), Romulus, My Father (2007), Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012), The Equalizer (2014), and the U.S. television series Into the Badlands. He has been nominated for multiple awards, including a win for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the AACTA Awards for Romulus My Father.
