Marva Hicks
Marva Hicks (May 5, 1956 - September 16, 2022) was an American R&B singer and actress. Born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia, she studied at Howard University. Hicks signed with Polydor in the late 1980s and released her self-titled album in 1991, which included the hit single 'Never Been in Love Before'. Throughout her career, she transitioned to Broadway theatre and television. Notably, on July 16, 1996, Hicks performed as a background singer for Michael Jackson in a concert in Brunei. Her contributions included singing the female part of the duet 'I Just Can't Stop Loving You' with Jackson. Marva Hicks made significant contributions to the music industry and entertainment world during her lifetime.
