Mary Carillo Biography
Mary Carillo (born March 15, 1957) is an American sportscaster and former professional tennis player. She played on the women's professional tennis circuit from 1977 to 1980, reaching a career-high ranking of No. 33 in the Women's Tennis Association Rankings. Carillo won the 1977 French Open mixed-doubles title with John McEnroe. She also reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon in the same year and was a women's doubles quarterfinalist at the US Open. After retiring from tennis due to knee injuries, Carillo began her television career, working for various networks including USA Network, PBS, MSG, ESPN, and CBS Sports. She is currently an analyst for Tennis on NBC and a reporter for NBC Olympic broadcasts.
