Mary-Margaret Humes

Mary-Margaret Humes is an American actress known for her work in film and television. She gained recognition after winning the Miss Florida USA pageant in 1975 and being the third runner up in Miss USA. Humes made her big screen debut in Mel Brooks's comedy film History of the World, Part I in 1981. She has appeared in over 50 television shows, including guest appearances in popular series such as The Dukes of Hazzard, The Love Boat, The A-Team, and Knight Rider. However, she is best known for her role as Gail Leery, the mother of the title character in the WB drama series Dawson's Creek from 1998 to 2003. Humes's talent and versatility have made her a respected figure in the entertainment industry.
