Green has made guest appearances on numerous television series including Saving Grace, Eli Stone, My Name Is Earl, Home Improvement, NYPD Blue, and Friends. She has also appeared in Broadway productions such as Sweeney Todd and Candide. Green has played the role of Reverend Mother in Nunsense over 1500 times and portrayed Lorena Hickok in Michael John LaChiusa's First Lady Suite. In addition, she took over the role of Miss Hannigan in a production of Annie in 1989 and played the title role in the premiere of Claudia in 1996.
