Mary Scheer (born March 19, 1963) is an American actress, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. She gained recognition for her work in television, particularly in sitcoms, movies, and cartoons. Scheer had recurring roles as Marissa Benson on Nickelodeon's iCarly and as Gladys on Disney Channel's Bunk'd. She voiced Alice the Zookeeper on DreamWorks' animated series The Penguins of Madagascar and lent her comedic talents to GEICO commercials. Scheer was part of the original cast of the sketch comedy show Mad TV, where she showcased her versatile characters such as Mrs. Jewel Barone, Dixie Wetsworth, Connie Linder, and Mrs. Vigor (Killer Grandma).
