Maryedith Burrell

Maryedith Ann Burrell (née Smith; born May 20, 1952) is an American actress, comedian, film and television producer, writer, and documentarian. She is best known for her starring roles on the television series Fridays, Throb, Ron Howard's Parenthood, and The Jackie Thomas Show, as well as her recurring roles in the television series Seinfeld and Home Improvement. Burrell was born and raised in Gilroy, California. She attended Santa Catalina School on scholarship before studying at UC Santa Cruz, where she worked and studied with the American Conservatory Theater and The San Francisco Mime Troupe. She later transferred to UCLA and received the Hugh O'Brian acting award, judged by Academy Award winner Jack Lemmon.
