Marylouise Burke is an American actress known for her roles on both stage and screen. She gained recognition for her performance as Phyliis in the 2004 film Sideways, directed by Alexander Payne. On stage, she has appeared in several off-Broadway productions, including Fuddy Meers in 1999, for which she won the Drama Desk Award for Featured Actress in a Play. In 2003, she received a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Play for her role in Kimberly Akimbo. Burke also showcased her talent on Broadway, appearing in notable productions such as Into the Woods (2002) and True West (2018-19). With a background in English literature, she moved to New York City to pursue acting after working as a copy editor and research assistant.
