Masaharu Morimoto

Masaharu Morimoto is a Japanese chef known for his appearances on the TV cooking show Iron Chef and its spinoff Iron Chef America. He received training in sushi and traditional Kaiseki cuisine in Hiroshima before opening his own restaurant in 1980. Morimoto's fusion style of cuisine was influenced by his travels around the United States. He worked at prestigious restaurants in New York City, including the Sony Club and Nobu, where he served as executive chef and head chef, respectively. It was during his time at Nobu that he began his journey on the Iron Chef television show. Morimoto's unique style of presenting food has earned him recognition in the culinary world.
