Mathew Baynton

Mathew John Baynton (born 18 November 1980) is an English actor, writer, comedian, and musician. He is best known for his work in various television shows, including his role as a member of the Horrible Histories troupe and his performances in TV series such as Horrible Histories, Yonderland, and Ghosts. Baynton co-created, wrote, and starred in the sitcom The Wrong Mans. He has also appeared in other notable television series, including Gavin & Stacey, Spy, Peep Show, and You, Me, and the Apocalypse. Baynton grew up in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, and attended Southend High School for Boys. He graduated with first-class honours from the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama and trained in clowning at École Philippe Gaulier in Paris.
