Matt Cameron Biography
Matthew David Cameron (born November 28, 1962) is an American musician known as the drummer for the rock bands Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. He joined Soundgarden in 1986 and appeared on all of their studio albums until their breakup in 1997. Cameron then joined Pearl Jam in 1998 as a touring drummer and later became a permanent member. In 2010, he became a member of both Pearl Jam and the reunited Soundgarden. Cameron also played drums for Temple of the Dog, Nighttime Boogie Association, Hater, and Wellwater Conspiracy. He is recognized as one of the three members to feature on every Soundgarden studio album along with guitarist Kim Thayil and the late Chris Cornell.
