Matt Chapman

Matthew James Chapman, known as Matt Chapman, is an American professional baseball third baseman. Born on April 28, 1993, Chapman currently plays for the Toronto Blue Jays in Major League Baseball. Before joining the Blue Jays in 2022, he played for the Oakland Athletics. Chapman has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including three Gold Glove Awards, two Platinum Glove Awards, and two Fielding Bible Awards. In 2018, he was honored with the Wilson Defensive Player of the Year Award. Chapman made his MLB debut in 2017 and was selected as an All-Star in 2019. He attended El Toro High School and played college baseball for the Cal State Fullerton Titans.
